Autograph letter signed, three pages (on two conjoined sheets), 5 x 8 inch, Farnborough, 2.06.1919, in French, to Lucien Daudet - concerning a book by her correspondent, written and signed in dark ink "Eugenie", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Eugenie de Montijo in a full length portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.
"Mon cher Daudet,
Translated:
"My dear Daudet,
I have read your book with interest, but there is a background of discouragement. That's why he hasn't had the success he might have had. After so many painful and painful events, we like to forget your book in the sadness but that does not take away its merit and I am sure that later it will be read with great interest. [...]"
