Autograph letter signed, 5 x 8 inch, `Down, Beckenham, Kent.` (Railway Station) letterhead, 31.05.1879, to a gentleman - Darwin thanks his correspondent "for your courteous note & for the curious case of inheritance", written and signed in black ink "Ch. Darwin", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Charles Darwin in a half length portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with two horizontal mailing folds, and mild foxing -in fine condition.
