Autograph letter signed, 1 1/2 pages (both sides) - on a postcard (franked and stamped), 5,5 x 3,5 inch, (Hamburg), 15.04.1937 (whilst in exile*), in French, to "Siocha" (her former tutor Ferdinand Thormeyer, 1858-1944) in Geneva - Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia writes about her stay in Hamburg, written and signed in dark ink "Olga", with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.

Nous voila ici, avons été chez le Dr. hier toute la matinée - puis chez un Röntgeniste - et le résultat nous saurons ce soir - alors nous pourrons vous dire - s`il faut aller dans une Clinique [...] après notre grippe nous pouvons dormir 8-10 heures ... J`attends votre lettre - très longue. Nous sommes à deux pas au stadion. L`hotel est si bien construit qu`on n`entend pas un son [...] cette carte seulement pour vous assurer de notre arrivée & que nous sommes tres bien - au fond content que nous sommes enfin ici ... Le départ est une chose horrible - toutes nos [illegible] pleuré ... Tihon etait malheureux - il s`est echappé dans sa chambre - où il est resté toute la reste de la journée ...

The hotel is so well built that we do not hear a sound [...] this card only to assure you of our arrival & that we are very well - basically happy that we are finally here ...
