"It is generally believed that Cf-254 (not 244) is produced in the explosion of a super-nova. The evidence for this is given in a paper by Burbidge, Burbidge, Fowler, and Hope, Reviews of Modern Physics, vol. 29, pp. 547-650 (1957). The discussion of the formation of Cf-254 begins on p. 635. This evidence is certainly enough to convince me of the correctness of this interputation. [...]"
