Autograph letter signed, 2 1/2 pages (on two conjoined sheets), 5,25 x 7,75 inch - affixed on a larger sheet, Paris, 15.04.1835, in French, François-René de Chateaubriand congratulates an author, written and signed in black ink "Chateaubriand", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a picture of François-René de Chateaubriand Meditating on the Ruins of Rome (ca. 1810s) by Anne-Louis Girodet de Roussy-Trioson (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.
