Autograph letter signed, one page, 5,25 x 7,75 inch, no exact date (`sunday morning`), in French, to "Mon cher ami" - concerning an appointment for a meeting, written and signed in dark ink "Eug Delacroix", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a portrait picture of Eugène Delacroix (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with intersecting letter folds and mild foxing - in fine condition.
"Mon cher ami,
Je vous attendrai avec beaucoup de plaisir demain lundi jusqu`à onze heures: je dois partir pour quelques jours pour la campagne et serais autrement obligé d`ajourner notre entrevue.
Je vous serre bien la main - Eug. Delacroix"
Translated:
"My dear friend,
I will be expecting you with great pleasure tomorrow Monday until eleven o'clock: I must leave for a few days for the country and would otherwise be obliged to adjourn our interview.
I shake your hand well - Eug. Delacroix"
