Printed scientific article signed, five pages, 8,25 x 11 inch, article titled `Promotion and Limitation of Genetic Exchange` by Werner Arber - reprint from `Science`, Volume 205 (27.07.1979), signed on the front page in dark ink "Mit freundlichen Grüssen - Werner Arber", with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.

(1929-) Swiss microbiologist and geneticist. Along with American researchers Hamilton Smith and Daniel Nathans, Werner Arber shared the 1978 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of restriction endonucleases. Their work would lead to the development of recombinant DNA technology.
