In 2006, Vettel made his debut in Formula 1 as a test driver for BMW Sauber. The following year, he secured a race seat with Scuderia Toro Rosso and became the youngest driver to score a point in a Grand Prix at the age of 19 years and 349 days.

Vettel's breakthrough came in 2010 when he moved to Red Bull Racing. In his first season with the team, he became the youngest Formula 1 World Champion, securing the title at the age of 23.
