Typescript signed, 7 pages of processed typescript tipped in to overlapping thin card covers embossed in red and gilt with the national Emblem of the People`s Republic of China, 6 x 9 inch, 20.11.1988, official translation of the speech given by Li Peng at the state dinner in his honour at Parliament House (Canberra, 17.11.1988), signed and dated on the inside front cover in black felt tip, in very fine condition. Offered with eleven colour photographs relating to the visit of the Hon. Barry Jones to China in 1993, as chair of Unesco`s human rights committee. They comprise six official photographs of Premier Li and Minister Jones (accompanied by a signed letter confirming this from Sam Gerovich, Deputy Chief of Mission in Beijing), and five informal portrait photographs of Li taken by Jones. Comes from the collection of The Hon Barry Jones AC.
