Description
Autograph subscription signed, one page, 8 x 11,5 inch - affixed on a slightly larger sheet (9 x 12,25 inch), n. d. (about 1580), in French, written and signed by King Henry IV of France in dark ink "V[ot]re bien affectionne et assure amy, Henry" (=`Your truly affectionate and devoted friend, Henry`) - with the words "deux cent cinquante-six" (=`two hundred and fifty-six`) written at right angles to this and up the page in another contemporary hand, with soiling, mild creasing to the edges, a small holes to the lower left corner, and a small area of paper loss to the lower right corner (text unaffected) - in good condition.
