Autograph letter signed, one page, 4,5 x 7 inch, Weimar, 26.08.1873, in German, to his student Irma Steinacker - concerning an upcoming concert, written and signed in black ink "F. Liszt", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Franz Liszt seated on a chair (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with intersecting letter folds, and mild browning - in fine to very fine condition.
"Sehr geehrtes Fräulein,
Die kleine Concertsache soll, so gut ich es vermag, nächstens besorgt werden. Gelegentlich erlauben Sie mir wohl auch die etwas argwöhnige Andeutung ihres Schreibens: `es kostet ja nur ein Wort um ... etc` zu berichtigen.

"Dear Miss,

At a young age, Liszt began studying piano with his father, and by age six, he was already a prodigy. He went on to study music in Vienna, where he trained with some of the most prominent musicians of the time, including Carl Czerny and Antonio Salieri.
By his early 20s, Liszt had established himself as one of the greatest pianists of his time. He embarked on a highly successful concert tour of Europe, wowing audiences with his technical prowess and emotional depth in his playing.
Aside from his music career, Liszt was also known for his passionate love affairs. He had numerous relationships with some of the most famous women of his time, including Marie D'Agoult and Princess Carolyne zu Sayn-Wittgenstein.
In his later years, Liszt shifted his focus to composition and teaching. He settled in Weimar, Germany, where he composed some of his most famous works, including his two piano concertos and the symphonic poem "Les Preludes."
Franz Liszt died on July 31, 1886, in Bayreuth, Germany. His influence on the development of classical music, as both a performer and composer, continues to be felt to this day.
