Autograph letter signed, one page, 8 x 10,75 inch, personal stationery, Lucerne, 16.11.1909, in German, to editors department of the magazine `Schweiz` in Zurich - concerning a cliché of one of his works from a previous exhibition, written and signed in black ink "E. Hodel", with intersecting letter folds slightly torn to the edges, and mild signs of wear along the right edge - in fine condition.
"Sehr geehrte Redaction.
Vor ungefähr 2 Jahren ist in Ihrer gesch. Zeitschrift ein größerer Aufsatz mit Illustrationen erschienen über die erste Ausstellung in Basel der Schweiz. freien Künstlervereinigung (Sezession). Ich war dabei vertreten mit einer kleinen Reproduction meiner Bilder `Base` (Biedermeierzeit). Wären Sie vielleicht in der Lage mir dieses Cliché, vorausgesetzt dass es noch in gebrauchsfähigem Zustande ist, zu verkaufen & zu welchem Preis? Für Ihre geschätzte baldige Antwort spreche ich Ihnen meinen verbindlichsten Dank aus.
