Autograph note signed, one page - on his personal visiting card, 4,5 x 3,5 inch, in German, to a colleague - concerning knee suffering of a patient, written and signed in dark ink, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with the original envelope and a photograph, shows Ernst von Bergmann in a beautiful chest-up portrait (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.

Patientin wird Ihnen selbst die Geschichte ihres Knieleidens erzählen. Ich meine daß Bad. u. Näßungen helfen muß."
Translated:
"Dear colleague!
The patient herself will tell you the story of her knee suffering. I think that bathing and wetting must help."
