TASCHEN GmbH, Cologne, 2005, hardcover book - housed in the original cardboard box with a piece (9,5 x 9,5 inch) of the original project fabric, 14 x 12,5 inch, 968 pages, signed and numbered by Christo and Jeanne-Claude and the photographer Wolfgang Volz on the title page in pencil, with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.
The third volume of the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Collector’s Edition series celebrates The Gates in New York City’s Central Park. Designed by Christo and Jeanne-Claude, with texts by Jonathan Henery and photographs by exclusive photographer Wolfgang Volz, it is a stunning souvenir of this remarkable work of art. Each copy comes with a piece of the project`s original fabric and features over 100 preparatory drawings and collages, as well as 900 important documents, engineering drawings, technical data, maps, and 1441 project photographs from 1979 to 2005.
