Typed letter signed, one page, 7,5 x 5 inch, (London), 17.09.1956, personal letterhead, brief reply letter to Mr. Booth - concerning an autograph request, signed in blue ink "Arthur Porritt", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Colonel Arthur Porritt in a 2/3 length pose (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with slightly trimmed edges and very mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition.

(1900-1994) New Zealand physician, military surgeon, statesman and athlete. He won a bronze medal at the 1924 Summer Olympics in the 100 m sprint. He served as the 11th governor-general of New Zealand.
