New EU tax and customs regulations for EU Customers
Dear customers & friends
As you may have already learned from the press, the European Union is changing the previous tax practice on July 1st, 2021 for the movement of goods with non-EU countries. This also applies to us as a company based in Switzerland.
While we were previously able to send our customers' orders to the EU with customs clearance, we are now forced to implement the new VAT accounting system and the adjusted customs regulations for shipments to the EU. For smaller companies like us, this is an unaffordable administrative effort.
From July 1, 2021, we will still have to switch to the new VAT system, in which VAT and / or customs must be paid in the country of arrival. Payment processing is usually carried out by the shipping service provider, so that you can conveniently pay the parcel carrier. You then buy exclusive VAT from us and pay the VAT applicable to your place of residence and, if applicable, the import duty on receipt of your items.
This especially annoys us because excellent service and your satisfaction as our customers are particularly important to us and of course we want to avoid any additional expense for you.
We will continue to do everything we can to give you pleasure with selected autographs and autographs, and we would be delighted if you remained loyal to us despite the changes described and the associated circumstances. If you have any questions, we are of course at your disposal at any time.
For those of you who want to dig into details of this new regulations here we've found a very good article from FedEx HERE.
Kind regards from Kesswil
