Typed letter signed, one page, 7 x 9 inch, `The White House` stationery, (Washington D. C.), 10.06.1912, reply letter to Rev. Dr. John Goddard - concerning a suggestion from his correspondent, signed in dark ink "Wm H Taft", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a vintage photograph, shows William Howard Taft in a formal chest-up portrait (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with a central horizontal letter fold, mild toning and slightly faded - in fine condition.
"My dear Doctor Goddard:
I thank you for the kind words of your letter of June 8th and for the suggestion which you are good enough to make and which has been carefully noted.
I only attempted to pay Mr. Burnham the tribute he well merited.
