Autograph letter signed, 1 1/2 pages (on two conjoined sheets), 5,5 x 7,25 inch, (Constantinople), 9.09.1912, in German, condolence letter to Anna Gentilli of Vienna - concerning the decease of her husband Herman Gentilli (director general of the `Erste Allgemeine ésterreichische Unfall-Versicherungsgesellschaft`), written and signed in dark ink "Max Steiner", with a central horizontal letter fold and detached from an album - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by two albums with about 160 condolence letters and cards sent to Anna Gentilli in September 1912 (various languages - German, French, Italian and a few in English): i.a. Rudolf Krueger (artist), Fanny Schreiber (singer of Jewish music), Marcella Mayer (actress), Friedrich Merz (pacifist), Dr. Maxim Steiner (physician to Freud), Heinrich York-Steiner (early zionist), and Rosa Hochsinger.
