(1804-1875) original name: Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin, best known by her nom de plume George Sand - French novelist, memoirist, and socialist.
Autograph letter signed, one page, 5,25 x 7 inch, personal blind-embossed stationery, Paris, 3.06.(1869), in French, to the director of the Palais Royal theater - Sand congartulates on a play and asks for two places, written and signed in dark ink "G. Sand", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows George Sand in a half length portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with intersecting letter folds, and very mild signs of wear to the edges - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by a letter (with envelope) from her daughter Solange to Mme Bretillot, who recommended the Viscount de Montsaulnin to her, three pages, August 1858.
