Autograph letter signed, one page, 5 x 7,5 inch, Paris, 9.02.1815, in French, to an unnamed gentleman - concerning two manuscripts, written and signed in black ink ". W. de Schlegel", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a portrait picture of August Wilhelm Schlegel (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a diagonal crease to the lower left corner, and scattered very mild signs of age wear - in fine to very fine condition.

Translated:
"Sir
I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of the two Provencal Manuscripts No. 7225 and 3204 that you were kind enough to send me, which I will try to use as soon as possible and which I will keep with extreme care.
