Typed letter signed, one page, 7,5 x 9,5 inch, New York, 6.02.1939, reply letter to Miss Mary A. Griggs from Wellesley College (`Dept. of Chemistry`) - concerning an upcoming lecture by Fermi entitled "Transmutation of elements" at Wellesley College, signed in dark ink "Enrico Fermi", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Enrico Fermi as physicist (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with intersecting letter folds and mild signs of wear along the edges - in fine condition.
In parts:
"[...] As subject of the lecture you can announce "Transmutation of elements". I dont think that I shall need a lantern. But I should like to have a blackboard, not to write down formulae, but in order to draw some sketches. [...]
Yours sincerely - Enrico Fermi"
