"Dear Mr Coghlan
I thought today that you could perhaps render me a service which would be the more agreable to me as it would greatly oblige me of my friends. M. Du Darqui`s solicitor will explain you the matter, which is a very simple one but which is quite difficult for me at present, my nearest acquaintances being out of town.
Believe me yours truly.
Louis Napoléon Bonaparte"
