(1907-1983) Belgian cartoonist - he is best known for creating The Adventures of Tintin, the series of comic albums which are considered one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century.
Typed letter signed, one page, 8,25 x 9,25 inch, `Studios Hergé` stationery, Bruxelles, 27.10.1976, in French, reply letter to Monsieur J. R. Paques - Hergé thanks his correspondent for his letter and congratulations related to the Tintin journal and the film `Moi, Tintin` (`I, Tintin`), signed in dark ink "Hergé", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a picture of Tintin and his dog Milou (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with two horizontal letter folds - in nearly very fine condition. Accompanied by the original stationery envelope, bearing a printed sketch of Tintin and his dog Milou.
