M., 1962, 6,25 x 9 inch, 141 pages, hardcover book with dust jacket, in fine to very fine condition.

Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips was born on May 4, 1928, in Cologne, Germany. He was a German racing driver who competed in Formula One for the Ferrari team.
Von Trips began his racing career in the early 1950s, competing in various sports car races before moving on to Formula One in 1956. He quickly made a name for himself as a talented and skilled driver, earning the respect of both his teammates and competitors.
During his time with Ferrari, von Trips achieved considerable success, winning several races and finishing on the podium numerous times. In 1961, he came close to winning the Formula One World Championship, but ultimately finished as the runner-up to Phil Hill.
Tragically, von Trips' promising career was cut short on September 10, 1961, at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. He was involved in a collision that resulted in the deaths of both himself and 15 spectators.
