Autograph letter signed, two pages (both sides) - on black-bordered mourning stationery, 4,25 x 6,75 inch, Barcelona, 12.11.1908, in French, to "Chere Madame" - concerning Gabriel Faure as second sponsor of the Society of Authors and numerous concert engagements, written and signed in dark ink "Vincent d`Indy", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Vincent d`Indy in a chest-up portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a horizontal mailing fold and browning - in fine condition.

Je vous remercie ci-incluse votre demande à la Société des auteurs ... je vous engage à prendre Fauré comme second parrain, ainsi que vous en avez l`intention.
Je serai heureux du connaitre vos projets du travail et, lorsque je serai du retour à Paris, je m`efforcerai du trouver quelques moments du liberté (bien rares, maintenant!) pour aller vous voir, du vous prier / du venir à la Schola, mais je ne serai pas à Paris avant la seconde huitaine de Decembre, ayant en ce moment du nombreux engagements du Concerts en Espagna, dans le sud de la France et en Italie...
