Letter signed, one page, 8,5 x 10,75 inch, Vienna, 2.08.1727, in Italian, to "Your Excellency" (translated) - Prince Eugene of Savoy thanks his correspondent for a painting, signed in black ink "Eugenio di Savoya", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a beautiful picture of Prince Eugene of Savoy on horseback (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with intersecting letter folds, toning, and mild signs of wear to the edges - in fine condition.

In parts:
"Mi è stato consegnato il Quadro, di cui V.Eccellenza ha voluto compiacersi favorirmi; [...]  siccome il medesimo è molto fatto; [...] tanto maggiorni sono de obbligazioni, che ma devo alla generosità Sua [...]"

Translated:
"The painting was delivered to me, which Your Excellency was pleased to favor me with;  [...] since the same is very well done; [...] so much greater are the obligations that I owe to your generosity [...]"
