وصف

Collection of 5 (4 of them postcards) autograph letters signed & 1 autograph letter (unsigned), 7 pages - 3 postcards also addressed verso, in various formats (postcards about 5,5 x 3,5 inch), (1880-1924), in Italian, family correspondence to his mother, brother and nieces, all written and mostly signed in dark "Giacomo" or "G. Puccini", mostly with one letter fold, browning, a few with soiling & mild creases, and one with a small area of paper loss to the upper edge - overall in fine condition. Accompanied by two unsigned photographs.

1. [Milan] Sunday evening [March 9, 1884], to his mother Albina Puccini in Lucca - about the catalog of the family library, from which he would like to sell books, needing a few pennies and will try to get something out of it:
2. [Milan, ca. 1880-1883]. Bill to his brother Michele Puccini, with whom he lived in Signora Linda's flat - inter alia concerning accounts, purchase of chocolate.
3. [Lucca, June 3, 1885], to his brother Michele Puccini, at the Milan Conservatory. Puccini instructs him to inform Signora Linda that he cannot accept her request (for a pension increase), and to repeat that the room is definitely empty and that she should send the account. He instructs Michele with the removal (`let him work and not be a pig`):
4. Milan, April 28 1912, to his niece Albina Francescini, asking her to go to Viareggio to settle various matters:
Then he asks for news of the family.
5. [Milan 6.X.1917], to his niece Alba del Panta in Lucca, on the eve of the Milan premiere of La Rondine:
Ricani! Riricani! Basta, speriamo bene [...]" (`Good luck to you who have neither artists nor conductors! Tomorrow Rondine. Que
God keep me. Dogs! Rechiens! Super dogs! Well, let's hope`) He'll return to Viareggio straight away. He has asked that the motorcycle and the "carrrozino" (`sidecar`) be left with him, otherwise he'll be like a prisoner in Torre. He gives the address of his son Tonio, a soldier.
6. [Viareggio 20.I.1924], to his niece's husband Nelda, Mario Giaccai in Pescia. He is worried and asks for news by postcard or telephone.
