Signed card (with an affixed magazine picture), 5,75 x 4 inch, signed in blue ink "Fay Wray", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Fay Wray as Ann Darrow in the 1933 film `King Kong` (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with very mild signs of wear - in nearly very fine condition.

Fay Wray was born Vina Fay Wray on September 15, 1907 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Mormon parents, Joseph and Elsie Wray. Her family moved to the United States when she was a child. She began her acting career at the age of 16, appearing in silent films and a few stage performances. Her big break came in 1927 when she was cast in the title role of the classic horror film, King Kong. This role made her a star and cemented her place in Hollywood history.

Wray went on to appear in over 100 films throughout her career, including the 1933 classic, The Most Dangerous Game. She also starred in a number of popular television series, most notably, The Lone Ranger and Wide Country. Wray was also an accomplished writer, having penned her autobiography, On the Other Hand, in 1989. She also wrote a number of short stories and novels.

Wray was married twice in her life, first to John Monk Saunders from 1926 to 1933, and then to Robert Riskin from 1942 until his death in 1955. She had one daughter with Saunders, Susan, and one son with Riskin, Robert Jr. Wray was a devout Christian and was active in her church. She was also a staunch supporter of animal rights, having served as a board member of the American Humane Society.

Throughout her career, Wray was honored with numerous awards and accolades. She was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. She was also inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City in 1975. In 1993, she was awarded an honorary Oscar for her lifetime achievements.

Wray passed away on August 8, 2004 at the age of 96. Even after her death, she continued to be remembered for her iconic role in King Kong, and her legacy lives on. She is remembered as one of Hollywood’s most beloved and enduring stars.
