Autograph letter signed, one page, 4,25 x 6,75 inch, Paris, 2.03.1892, in French, to Halpérine Kaminsky (editor and translator of works by Tolstoi) - i. a. concerning the new translation of his correspondent and letters from Tolstoi regarding the translation of his new work, written and signed in black ink "Ch Richet", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a photograph, shows Charles Richet in a chest-up portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a mild central horizontal letter fold, and small ink stains - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by the original envelope.

"Mon cher Halpérin,
Merci de votre nouvelle traduction; je sais la lire avec tout l`intérêt que j`ai aux oeuvres de ce grand maitre. Est-ce que vous avez reçu quelques lettres de Tolstoi relativement à la traduction de son nouvel ouvrage? Vous vous rappelez ce que je vous en avais dit en vous racontant mon entrevue avec lui à lasnaia Poliana.

"My dear Halpérin,
Thank you for your new translation; I know how to read it with all the interest I have in the works of this great master. Have you received any letters from Tolstoi regarding the translation of his new work? You remember what I told you when I told you about my meeting with him at Lasnaia Poliana.
