Autograph letter signed, one page, 4 x 5 inch, `Office of All the Year Round - a weekly journal conducted by Charles Dickens` letterhead, (London), 21.06.1869, to Mrs Linton - concerning the cancellation of an order, written and signed in blue ink "Charles Dickens", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Dickens seated on a chair (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a central horizontal letter fold, and very mild browning - in fine to very fine condition.

"Dear Mrs Linton,
   I had not the least intention of returning you the enclosed paper and had ordered it - in right of our long association - to be placed to your credit in the business account. That order I shall certainly not cancel (except under compulsion) but you are perfectly free to publish the paper nevertheless.
